  Lower back pain is a common problem that most adults will experience at some point in their lives. It is normally caused by a short-term stress on the muscles or ligaments that support the spine.

Individuals with of lower back pain experience discomfort in the lumbar region. If you are experiencing low back pain seek a physician immediately. Treatments vary depending on extent of pain and seriousness of injury. Some treatments that may be recommended are an exercise regime, medication, and in some cases surgery.

Many people are able to manage their lower back pain without surgical intervention. It is important to know your limitations and follow the program specified by your physician.
