Imaging services are available at the main HSA campus.

The imaging department is a low cost provider if diagnostic imaging services for patients of the HSA system as well as for patients in the community. Costs at the department are typically considerably less costly than identical services provided in the community.

Imaging services include:

• CT Scanning
• Ultrasound (including OB and echo vascular ultrasound)
• Nuclear Medicine
• Plain film x-rays

Scheduled procedures, i.e. CT, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine, can be made by calling

Medicare, Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal Blue Cross, and Health Net are accepted for payment as participating insurance plans.

Plain film x-rays, ie. chest x-rays, extremities, etc, can be performed on a “walk-in” basis during the hours of operation.

The rehabilitation department of the HSA consists of:

• Physical therapy
• Occupational therapy
• Audiology
• Wound care
• EEG and EMG testing

Services require a valid physician order. The physical therapy department is staffed with licensed physical therapists and physical therapy aides and can develop a plan of care consistent with the physician’s orders.

Wound care provides ongoing care and monitoring of extraordinary wounds as prescribed by a physician. Wound care is available 7 days/week.

The HSA provides neurology services in its specialty clinic and offers EMG and EEG services in the department. An appointment is necessary.

As with other Ancillary services, cost of rehabilitation services for those without insurance is below that of other community providers. Medicare, Medi-Cal, Medi-Cal Blue Cross, and Health Net are accepted for payment.

 Pharmacy

The HSA offers retail pharmacy services. However, prescriptions are restricted to patients of the Health Services Agency. Prescriptions filled in the pharmacy are typically identical to but less costly than identical prescriptions filled by other community pharmacies.
