Healthy Cubs provides free outpatient health care to children ages 0-5 and prenatal care to pregnant women

Healthy Cubs is a health access program that provides free outpatient health care to children ages 0-5 and prenatal care to pregnant women.

The program is designed for uninsured residents of Stanislaus County who are low and mid-level income families at or below 300% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines.

Insurance Contracts

As of January 2015, the physicians of the Stanislaus County Health Services Agency medical offices are available through the following insurance or health plans:

  • MCAP (Medi-Cal Access Program) - Health Plan of San Joaquin
  • HealthNet - Medi-Cal Managed Care
  • Health Plan of San Joaquin - Medi-Cal Managed Care
  • Fee For Service Medi-Cal
  • Fee For Service Medicare (aka Part B)

When reviewing a health plan's "Provider Directory", you'll notice that often physicians are listed through a medical group or a network organization of contracted physicians. While our Primary Care Physicians are available through the above insurances or health plans, please read your directory regarding other specialty services such as laboratory, radiology, rehabilitation and pharmacy. In some cases the health plans will require you to use such services at locations other than the Health Services Agency.
