Newmemo Children's Ring Sets
This letter is to inform you of the recall of about 2,200 Newmemo Children’s 36
Ring Sets intended for children to use for playing. This product is being
recalled because it was found to contain levels of lead that exceed the
federal lead content ban and levels of cadmium that are prohibited in
children’s products by the Federal Hazardous Substances Act.
Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health
effects. The product was sold exclusively on Amazon.com from January 2022
through March 2024 for about $12. “Newmemo” and “Amazon FNSKU
X0034COQMP” are written on a white label attached to the underside of the
case. More information about this recall is available on the United States
Consumer Product Safety Commission website. Images of the product are
below.
In addition, we encourage health care providers and other stakeholders to:
- Test children for lead exposure if children came into contact with this product.
- Contact Newmemo for information about receiving a full refund which includes sending a picture of the disposed product. Newmemo and Amazon are contacting all known purchasers directly.
- Immediately stop using the rings and take them away from children.
Thank you,
Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program.
