Mpox vaccine

Available to people of any age or gender who may have been exposed. Make an appointment today at myturn.ca.gov

Some providers may also have a supply of vaccines for their eligible patients. Please contact your provider for more information.

Vaccines help protect against mpox when given before or shortly after exposure to the virus. The JYNNEOS vaccine is approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to prevent both mpox and smallpox. It is most effective at preventing mpox if the vaccine is administered within 4 days of exposure. When given between 4-14 days after the date of exposure, vaccination may help reduce symptoms but may not prevent the disease from developing.
