If you could be, act as if you are.
- Start prenatal care as soon as you know you are pregnant.
- Keep doctor’s visits even if you feel well.
- Learn the symptoms of pre-term labor and what to do if they occur.
- Eat a healthy diet and gain weight as your doctor recommends.
- Avoid using alcohol, cigarettes, drugs or medications not prescribed by your doctor.
