Who We Are
Healthy Families America is a free and voluntary home-visiting program offering support to families who are pregnant or parenting newborns and children. We offer services that value, strengthen, and support you and your children in developing skills to succeed, including child development, access to health care, and parent education. As you embark on this incredible journey of parenthood, our program wants to ensure you have all the support and resources you need to create a healthy and thriving family.
What We Do
Our trained Public Health Nurses or Community Health Workers will listen to your family's needs and provide guidance, education, and support tailored to your unique needs. These visits will provide resources that:
- Nurture parent-child relationships from pregnancy to birth and as your baby grows
- Support a healthy environment that helps your child grow and develop both prenatally and after your baby is born through interactive parenting education
- Develop and set goals based on what is most important to you, whether it be parenting, school, work, or something else
What We Offer
Through the HFA program, you will have access to resources that will help you develop essential skills, strengthen your bond with your child, and create a nurturing environment at home. We offer long-term support for families with children from pregnancy through three years of age for both mom and dad. Our staff will listen to your family's needs and provide support and resources to parents. We want parents to learn about their child's development and how to raise them in a positive environment.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this program, you must be pregnant, or your infant must be under three months of age. Our services are offered free of charge.
